This could truly be a beautiful place to stay unfortunately the place is in a major state of disrepair and tbh if it wasn't for the fact I did not have time to get anywhere else before the event started I'd have walked straight out. When you walk into reception the insurance certificate is dated 2002/2003, awards on the wall that relate to a period before bc in my opinion. My son and I were given room, we opened the bathroom door but there was a hole where a window should be, but no window, apparently it had just fallen out? Really? The smell was of I don't know what, which appeared again, in my opinion, was trying to be masked by something like a mans hi karate aftershave from the nineteen seventies. Free wi-fi, the router box attached with cable ties at the top of the stairs. Marks all other the walls and furniture. Seriously give this place a swerve!

There is a good taxi firm in Morley. With the right owners in charge could be restored to a former glory please not with right owners and Serius investment.

Quite simply not enough room on this page.

The location was handy for our visit.Hotel is set back from the main road. Parking area at the back.

Internet advert shows the entrance to the front, this was closed off and the side entrance only in use.The person on reception was very sleepy untidy and spoke little english.the licenced bar was being used as a smokeroom by the incompetant staff they must have broken all health and safety rules. We had to wait until the room was cleaned. The hotel was mainly used by noisey workmen.Breakfast not satisfactory I would not dare try the evening meal,I honestly dont know how they can have an AA** rating sign at the entrance.it woud not qualify for any star at all. This used to be a nice hotel spoilt by inefficient management.

    Room 25 tolerable

This B&B is under new ownership, hence very poor standadrs of cleanliness etc.Person who greeted us & also cooked? breakfast could not speak English or cook english food.Disgusting "Full english breakfast" - appeared to be microwaved, poor quality & small portion. Tableclothes dirty - whole place unkempt.

Better than expected after reading some of the reviews on the web site (we read these after booking) and how quiet it was.

the sheets were clean, but they was about all i can say that is good

the room was very small, had to walk sideways to get to the other side of the room, and it was very dusty and lots of mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom

I didn't: it was so poor that I wouldn't stay

I didn't like the dirty room, the fact that a maintenance man let himself in without announcing himself, ...

    Very good

Large room with plenty of storage and seating. Interesting pictures and ornaments everywhere in the hotel. A fair bit cheaper than the Travellers' Lodge just up the road.

They said their card machine had broken and wanted cash payment. Didn't offer a discount for cash. As my credit card gives cashback, this cost me £5 extra. The first night there was a floodlight on outside our window all night. Didn't realise it could be switched off from inside our room until the morning!

The hotel was clean but run down and scruffy, it was in a good location with nice surroundings

Although the room was clean it could do with refurbishment as carpets all stained and bathroom had mildew on ceilings. Staff do not interact with guests at all.

The Old Vicarage is a lovely old building, however, it is very jaded and not very clean! Although some attempts to modernise have taken place, a number of things (eg new windows) still need refurbishing to get it to an acceptable standard as the lack of new windows is causing damp and black patches in the bathroom. We would not rush back!

The hotel was good value for money, ample off-road parking with CCTV. Staff were friendly and helpfull

Could do re-furbishment/redocoration but room rate has to be considered

The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean. Oh and the bath was clean.

I arrived at the hotel at 11.45pm to be greeted by a surly fellow who seemed to object to me having breakfast at the later time of 8.30! On entering 'Guest Suite 22' I noticed the bedside table was half covered in a sticky substance and the other half dust which I then cleaned quickly. I attempted to turn on the TV. The remote didnt work and the TV itself had a snowstorm fit. I moved to the bathroom and started running the bath to then discover that the plug was too small for the hole. I then noticed the excess of bleach still in the toilet. I left the bathroom to go to bed and discoved that my room was above reception because receptionist was talking loudly on the phone. Fortunatly I fell asleep because I was tired! Breakfast-bad!

    Very good

Perfect free wifi and parking, very short drive to Leeds center. Late check in. Really charming hotel interior, with thousands of curio's spread around a maze of rooms and corridoors.
